KHIA (Kid History IS Awesome)

When I started putting together my TIIA catchup posts, I realized that I had a lot of videos from Bored Shorts TV, AKA Kid History, AKA Kid Snippets, so I decided to break them off and make them their own post.

Most of Bored Shorts' videos are shorts, similar to Kid History which they are most famous for, but are stories the kids have made up, which the adults lip sync to with hilarious results. Once in awhile They will get a guest who utterly nails the performance, and most recently, their guest was none other than Peter Hollens!



They also did the same thing with Josh Groban in 2013!



And then again in 2014!



And then Lindsey Stirling!



The last time I posted something from Kid History was back in 2011, when they had only made 7 episodes. They have since gotten up to 11, and somehow I never saw the rest until just a few weeks ago! Kid History videos are true stories about the people starring in the videos that they have told their kids, who go on to hilariously butcher them upon retelling. If you need to catch up, I'll link to their official playlist HERE, which you need to watch, because they are all too funny, but I wanted to share number 11 here, because it was so hilarious, I was dying of laughter the whole time.

ChristmasTube

There have been a whole bunch of Christmas related videos on YouTube lately. I decided to put all my favorites into one blog post for your viewing pleasure. :)

On my dead “Entertainment blog” I posted about a series of videos called “Kid History”. That was one of the posts I actually saved, and moved over to this blog because their videos were so funny. You can find that post HERE. They recently released a Christmas video, and of course it had me laughing all the way. (Sorry for the lame “Jingle Bells” reference. It won’t happen again.) :p

One of my very favorite YouTube Channels is the Piano Guys, who don’t JUST do piano music, there’s a lot of cello there too. They have also gotten into the Christmas spirit and have started releasing their very first Christmas videos.

Okay, confession time, really, this post was just an excuse to blog about one of my favorite YouTube stars, Lindsey Stirling again. :) She just released another Christmas video, and I just had to share it. If you missed her beautiful version of Silent Night, check out my post HERE, and watch it, plus her amazing “Legend of Zelda” video.

This time her video is a song she apparently wrote herself, and it has a Celtic Flair to the music! I love Celtic music, so I couldn’t NOT share this. I generally dislike a lot of “Santa stuff”, but even though this is a kind of a Santa themed video, (Without Santa) I still love it. :) I also love that she is reusing her elf ears from the Legend of Zelda video. :)

The guy who has been filming her most recent videos has his own YouTube Channel as well. In fact it was because of his channel that I discovered Lindsey, after he filmed her first major music video. He is a film maker named Devin Graham, I actually discovered him through the Piano Guys as he has worked for them before. His video are always very cool. Until this one, which isn’t so much “Cool” as it is “Cavity Inducingly adorable.” (As a side note, this video has gone seriously viral in the last week, over a million and a half views! He may end up getting quite famous because of this one!)

Awe! Don’t you all just want a pile of puppies now?! :D

Merry Christmas everyone!

Kid History

It’s time for another YouTube discovery! This time it’s a series of films called “Kid History”. The premise is that all these kids in this family have been told a bunch of stories about things that happened to their dads/uncles. Sometimes the stories are from when they were kids themselves, other times they were adults. The kids do not get all the facts straight, and sometimes make up whole sections that never happened, but the stories are hilarious. That is not all though. The adults all reenact the stories, not as they happened, but as the kids tell them, they even lip sync to the kids dialogue. It is gut bustingly funny! So far there have been four episodes released. The first three were released on the channel that one of the brothers posted his videos on, but they just recently created their own channel for the Kid History videos as they plan to make it an ongoing series. UPDATE! How coincidental is this? The very day I blog about this series, they upload the latest episode! This one is the longest one of all, and like the others, is a laugh riot! :D
